PANELIST BIOS

Tim Perzyk, Head of West/Central U.S. Ad Research, Twitter
Tim was Twitter’s first ad researcher. He oversees the company’s ad effectiveness work, audience analytics, and vertical thought leadership for over 50 of the top 100 U.S. advertisers. He joined the company in March 2011 from MTV Networks, where he served as director of consumer insights and digital research. Before MTV, Tim worked in television and digital media research at NBC Universal and ad network start-up Tremor Video.

Tom Mainelli, VP of Devices & Displays, IDC
Tom Mainelli manages IDC's Devices and Displays group, which covers a wide range of hardware categories including PCs, tablets, smartphones, thin clients, monitors, and wearables. In his role as program vice president, he works closely with company representatives, industry contacts, and other IDC analysts to provide in-depth insight and analysis on the always-evolving market of endpoint devices and their related services. Prior to joining IDC in 2006, Mr. Mainelli was a journalist, editor at Smart Computing magazine, PC World. Mr. Mainelli holds a bachelor of journalism degree from the University of Nebraska at Lincoln. Follow him on twitter: tommainelli.

Lesle Schwaderer, Director, Audience Research, Skype
Lesle Litton Schwaderer is Director of Insights supporting Skype Monetization, she has over 15 years of Digital Insights experience.  Prior to Microsoft, Lesle was Vice President of Media Solutions at comScore, where she worked with Global Publishers to provide strategic analytics to optimize and showcase the value of their advertising platforms.   She also worked at Yahoo! as Director of Product and Advertising Insights.  While at Yahoo!, she worked in a variety of insight organizations including; data mining, usability and general market research and strategy.

Moderator - Michele Madansky, Ph.D., CEO, Michele Madansky Consulting
Michele is a former advertising agency research executive and was Vice President of Global Market Research for Yahoo! from 2003-2007.  She now consults with media and technology companies including BabyCenter, Chegg, Refinery29 and Twitter. Michele holds a Sc.B. from Brown University, and an MBA and Ph.D. from the University of Chicago’s Graduate School of Business. Michele is on the board of i-com, is a frequent industry presenter and has been a lecturer at the Haas Graduate School of Business.
