Layla Sabourian, Senior Product Marketing Manager at SAP (Moderator, Venue Sponsor)

Karen Bissani , Senior Director, Global Marketing Strategy, Planning and Programs at Cisco Systems

Karen Bissani brings more than 24 years of industry experience to her role as Senior Director of Global Marketing Planning and Programs at Cisco. Currently, Karen is responsible for establishing Cisco’s global strategic marketing plan while also driving successful demand generation programs for both the Collaboration business and the Security business for Cisco. Under her guidance, her organization helps create global demand for Collaboration and Security solutions focused on enterprise and mid market organizations. Throughout her career, Karen has also held leadership roles in product line management, product and solutions marketing, market and competitive intelligence, as well as strategic planning and operations. Prior to joining Cisco, Karen held a number of product marketing leadership roles at Lucent, Avaya, Information Storage Devices (acquired by Winbond) and WatkinsHJohnson. Karen is a graduate of the University of California, Santa Barbara, with a degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering. She resides in SanJose, California with her husband and two children.

Maya Grinberg, Marketing Director, WealthFront Inc.

Maya Grinberg is the Director of Marketing at Wealthfront, the software-based financial advisor and investment manager. Prior to joining Wealthfront, Maya was the Chief Evangelist at Wildfire, Google. Maya Grinberg was the voice of Wildfire, a division of Google. Her specialty was educating brands and businesses about the best practices and winning strategies of social media marketing. She has organically grown Wildfire's social properties into the most engaged fan communities within the industry, with 200,000 fans on Facebook and 65,000 on Twitter, and counting. As a result, Wildfire owns over 90% of the engagement occurring in fan communities around social media marketing. Maya's writing has appeared in the Huffington Post, Social Media Examiner, Social Media Today, and Business2Community. Her report about Wildfire's study on the effect of Timelines for brands received coverage in Forbes, TechCrunch, Mashable, ClickZ, and a variety of trade journals.

Jerry Escobar, Principal, Bedrock Consultants

Jerry has an extensive background in B2C marketing, product development, brand identity, internal communications, and employee engagement. At Bedrock he uses his expertise to help clients go to market, design customer experiences, engage their employees, and build stronger brands. Jerry spent many years at Logitech, supporting the company’s growth to become a global leader in peripherals. As Director of Global Brand for nearly a decade at Logitech, he oversaw the implementation of a unified master brand strategy that played a key role in the company’s market expansion. He also masterminded an internal brand engagement plan that transformed processes and culture to deliver more resonant customer experiences. Jerry is an active participant in the Silicon Valley marketing community as well as a board member of the San Francisco chapter of the Retail Design Institute.

David Burk - SVP & Partner, Digital and Integrated Marketing Lead, Americas, FleishmanHillard

David Burk is a successful entrepreneur, executive, business builder and technology strategist. Companies Mr. Burk has founded have garnered many awards for product, service, business and culture excellence. Mr. Burk’s career began in traditional advertising with Dailey and Associates Advertising (American Honda) and Young & Rubicam (Nissin Cup O’ Noodles). After receiving his UCLA Anderson MBA, Mr. Burk was founding marketing director for Wild Packets, a leading developer of hardware and software solutions that drive network performance, enabling organizations of all sizes to analyze, troubleshoot, optimize, and secure their wired and wireless networks. Mr. Burk then founded Clear Ink, one of the earliest interactive marketing firms, and grew it a regional integrated marketing communications leader with $20 million in revenue. In 2009, Mr. Burk joined Fleishman-Hillard, the largest public relations agency in the world, where he is SVP & Partner and Digital Lead, Americas. Mr. Burk was named a “Point of Inspiration,” one of the top 100 most inspirational alumni of the UCLA Anderson School of Management. Mr. Burk earned a B.A. degree in anthropology from Pomona College in Claremont, Calif., and an MBA from the UCLA Anderson School of Management.
